Moonscape Fire Relief

Focusing on first responders to the Eaton Fire

We are a collective of LA & Pasadena-based professionals who have been organizing support for out-of-town firefighters throughout the last week. As the LA fires move from their acute phase to a period of protracted recovery, we are raising money to implement an economical approach that effectively supports our community as it re-builds.

We’ve already begun..

As of 1/21, we’ve donated to the firefighters stationed at the Rose Bowl staging grounds for the Eaton fire, and the Zuma Beach staging grounds for the Palisades fire, we have purchased and or facilitated the distribution of over $110,000 worth of emergency goods, consisting of:

- 2000+ thermals
- 200+ sleeping bags
- 550 blankets
- 1000+ gloves
- 450+ pillows
- 5000 hand warmers

Thousands of units of toiletries

We’ve run 2 deliveries/day minimum to camps, and have over a dozen volunteers sourcing, sorting, and coordinating our efforts to ensure the right things get to the folks who need them on time.

Focused, curated deliveries - the right thing, to the right person, at the right time means we don’t waste space or time for the front line workers who need to restock at the end of a 24 hour shift.

We’ve also begun documenting the fire damage to help everybody understand the magnitude of what our community is banding together to recover from. All images on this site are taken by the Moonscape team.

Service the immediate needs over the next 1-3 weeks which require the rapid logistics & distribution of basics & consumables:

  • Water and electrolytes

  • Body wash and shampoo

  • Visine and contact solution

  • Bandaids and moleskins

  • Toothpaste and mouth wash

  • Baby wipes and hand sanitizers

  • Shaving cream, razors, and deodorant

  • Moisturizers and deodorant

  • Warm blankets and tents

  • Gloves and beanies

Phase Two Objectives (65% of raise):

Once the immediate threat of the fire has passed and and we enter the prolonged phase of rebuilding and relocation we will shift to the more capital intensive needs of:

  • Furniture & home goods

  • Moving services

  • Repair services

Throughout Phase Two, we will conduct thorough due diligence to ensure funds support those most in need, prioritizing vulnerable populations like women and children.

This is the least we can do to help the city we love and all those affected by it. Your financial support will go towards the short term needs of those protecting the community and the mid term needs of the victims of the fire.

Our team is growing, and consists of, but not limited to:

    • Evan Robinson

    • Sarah Gentry

    • Jack Strutz

    • Casha Doemland

    • Pilar Brito

    • Mac Boucher
